Thank you so much for considering being a part of our mock birth experience!
This is something that is very important and what you’re helping with is needed more than you know. Many birth workers have the privilege of attending client’s births, but end up with blurry, dark, and mostly out of focus photos to display for future clients.
My goal in this is not only to provide you with what a birth experience could potentially look like for you, but to provide these birth workers, who do so much for our community, the opportunity to achieve beautiful photos to advertise with.
The goal of this mock birth is to simulate both labor and postpartum photos for our birth workers.
For example, if we are working with a doula, we will be simulating labor photos. This may look like the doula performing hip squeezes, soothing techniques, etc.
If we are working with an IBCLC, she might ask to observe you breastfeeding your newborn or assess your newborn for ties.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
-Available May 24th and 25th (please make sure you’re available for BOTH days!)
-Location is at Birth and Wellness Center of Arlington (1001 W Randol Mill Rd. Arlington, TX
-Typically, we go from 10am until 2pm depending on how many birth workers sign up
-Due in June or early July or had a newborn in May
-Comfortable with being in front of a camera
-Comfortable being in close proximity of midwives, doulas, IBCLC’s, etc.
-May need to be partially nude (to re-enact labor)
-Gives explicit consent to appear on birth providers websites, social media accounts, etc.
-Fun, flexible, and willing to go with the flow

*You will receive 10 complimentary images. Any image over the 10 will be $20/image or $299 for the whole gallery
